Peter Mallory is a longtime resident of New Smyrna Beach. He earned master's and bachelor's degrees in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Mass. He served on the board of trustees at Daytona State College and was a commissioner of the New Smyrna Beach Utilities Commission. Mallory's late wife, Jacqueline Mallory, was active in civic causes.
