Ann Carter, age 94, of New Smyrna Beach, formally of Wareham, Massachusetts, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Ocean View Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, New Smyrna Beach. Burial will be at a later date in Wareham.
Born in Wareham to Charles and Carrie (Enos) Baptiste, Mrs. Carter, a homemaker, recently moved to New Smyrna Beach. She loved fishing, going on the boat and the Cape Cod Canal.
Survivors include daughter, Joanne Santana Montez and her husband Frank of Antelope, California; son, Eddie Carter and his wife Cathy of Orlando, Florida; daughter, Shirley Gamble of New Smyrna Beach; brother Donald Lombard and his wife Jenny of Wareham; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Carter, and 2 brothers, Lawrence Baptiste and John Lombard.
