Howard A. Roberts

Funeral service for Howard A. Roberts, age 85, of Edgewater, who died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Bert Fish Medical Center, New Smyrna Beach, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 22 at Settle-Wilder Chapel, New Smyrna Beach. Burial will follow at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater. Calling hours will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Settle-Wilder's Chapel.
Born in Key West, Mr. Roberts moved from Miami to this area in 1993. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and was a master electrician and member of IBEW Local Union 349, Miami. Mr. Roberts was an avid bowler who went to Nationals, and enjoyed fishing, working around the house and fixing things.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Joan; daughter, Kathryn Willis of Crawfordville, Florida; son, Larry Roberts and his wife Jan of LaPorte, Indiana; brother, Johnny Roberts and his wife Linda of Redfield, South Dakota; 3 step-children, Ray Del Greco and his wife Lonnie of Edgewater, Rick Del Greco and his wife Sue of Gulfport, Florida, and David Del Greco and his wife Nancy of Cooper City, Florida; 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Alan Roberts.
