Vernon Brown, age 50, of New Smyrna Beach, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010. There will be no service.
A lifelong resident of New Smyrna Beach, Vernon was a fisherman and a musician that played in local clubs; he loved surfing, playing guitar, and was a frequent volunteer at the SPCA in New Smyrna Beach.
Survivors include his father, Arnold Brown and his wife Betty of Ft. Lauderdale; 2 sisters, Vanessa Smith of New Smyrna Beach and Becky Forbes of Ft. Lauderdale; 2 brothers, Vaughn Brown of New Smyrna Beach and Christopher Borkowski of San Francisco, California; 3 step-brothers, Jeffrey and Kevin Weiss of Louisiana and Randy Weiss of South Carolina. Vernon was preceded in death by his mother, Shellie Layport.
