Virginia L. Garren

Memorial Service for Virginia L. Garren, age 86, of Edgewater, who died September 4, 2010 at Bert Fish Medical Center, New Smyrna Beach, will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8, at First Baptist Church, New Smyrna Beach, with the Reverend Luke McKinney officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at the church.

Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Mrs. Garren came to this area in 1990. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, New Smyrna Beach, a member of the Joy class at the church and a member of the First Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Mrs. Garren loved playing the piano at Ocean View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for over 18 years.

Mrs. Garren is survived by her husband of 16 years, Ellis; a son, Larry Schmid; 3 grandsons, Ernie, Gino and Chris Schmid; 2 nieces, Betty Melvin and Ruth Davis, both of Fayetteville; great grandson, Dillion Schmid and great granddaughter Sandra Schmid.
