Holly Hill officials tell some residents to boil water for safety during repair of a water main

HOLLY HILL – Because of an emergency repair on a water main, a boil-water notice was issued Tuesday.

The notice affects properties on Riverside Drive north of Flomich Street, to Granada Street and on Elizabeth Street from Riverside Drive to Moravia Avenue and Beach Street.

City officials advise boiling all water used for drinking and cooking for one minute. A repair on a water main on Monday forced the notice, which will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows the water is safe to drink and the Volusia County Health Department gives its blessing.
