DAYTONA BEACH -- The Junior League of Daytona Beach, Inc. will host its inaugural 5k aptly called "The best Foot Forward" to be held 8 a.m. Saturday, March 24. The course will wind through the tree-lined streets of LPGA.

For more information, please visit the Junior League of Daytona Beach website at www.JLDB.org.  The proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the annual Best Foot Forward project.

Children from Title I elementary schools are given a personal shopper for an evening to provide them with clothing for school, said Sara Smiley, the Junior League's vice president of communications.
"This event is typically held during the month of September, and each year we outfit 140 to 150 children with the assistance of JCPenney's in Volusia Mall," Smiley said of the shopping experience.
