Exhibition: Works by Master Artists Svetlana Chmokova, Paul Pope, and Craig Thompson Opening reception: 5 to 7 p.m., Oct. 15.
This exhibit features the work of Master Artists-in-Residence for ACA's themed Graphic Novel/Sequential Art Residency (Oct. 11-31): Svetlana Chmokova, Paul Pope, and Craig Thompson.
NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Authors Steven Noll and David Tegeder will give an illustrated talk about their book, “Ditch of Dreams: The Cross Florida Barge Canal and the Struggle for Florida’s Future,” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library.

The public keeps coming through the front door of Nuns & Roses Bed & Breakfast during the Dec. 12 "Tour and Taste" walk through the historic inns in downtown New Smyrna Beach as part of Christmas on Canal. NEW SMYRNA BEACH – Four of the city’s most established overnight accommodations were decked out in their finest holiday attire earlier this month for a bed and breakfast "Tour and Taste" as part of Historic Canal Street's wrap-up of Christmas on Canal. They included Night Swan B&B on South Riverside Drive, Kelsey’s Riverview Inn on Flagler Avenue and The Longboard Inn and Nuns & Roses B& B, both on Washington Street.
David Steven Duke, 40, of Deltona, died August 31 at home. Mr. Duke, who came to this area in 2005 from Atlanta, Georgia, was a chef, and enjoyed fishing, reading, and hanging out with friends.
