NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Authors Steven Noll and David Tegeder will give an illustrated talk about their book, “Ditch of Dreams: The Cross Florida Barge Canal and the Struggle for Florida’s Future,” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library.
NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- The New Smyrna Beach Regional Library has on display a joint exhibition by the Southeast Volusia Camera Club and the Poet’s Corner Poetry Workshop featuring photographs and poems of people. The Voices and Visions exhibit remains on display through July.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH – Fashion comes in all styles and sizes. From the elegant and the sophisticated, to the practical, whimsical, and yes, even the silliest. But no matter what was worn, the models wowed the audience during the Girls Night Out fashion show that is a part of Christmas on Canal.
Kenneth "Joe" Hill, age 80, of New Smyrna Beach, died from cancer Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, Edgewater. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 16, at Settle-Wilder Chapel, New Smyrna Beach, with Chaplain Mark Spivey, Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, officiating.
