NSBNEWS.net file photo by Henry Frederick. The Mayor's Challenge Golf Tournament at the NSB Municipal Golf Course will be hosted this year by Adam Barringer, who was elected mayor in the November elections.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Last year the city hosted the Mayor's Challenge Golf Tournament to raise money, benefiting youth athletics. Due in part to last year's success, The Parks & Recreation Department has set a date making this an annual fundraising event.

EDGEWATER -- The Friends of the Library will sponsor a community yard and craft sale from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at the Edgewater Public Library.

Indoor spaces are available for $15, and outdoor spaces are available for $10. To reserve a space, please call (386) 424-2916.

Dorothy Lawler Patterson, 95, who in her life resided in Norristown, PA, Elkton, MD, and Coral Gables and New Smyrna Beach, FL, died Saturday, August 28, 2010 at home in New Smyrna Beach. She was married for 60 years to Harry F. Patterson III, who passed away in 2000, and leaves three children, eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
