NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Due to the popularity of a park and ride shuttle offered a few months ago, the NSB Waterfront Loop once again will offer free rides to a popular Flagler Avenue event.
The shuttle will tote LOOP-goers Aug. 16 to the 5th annual Flagler Avenue Shrimp and Seafood Festival.
NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Just how many people were without power or for how long resulting from Saturday night's thunderstorm is anybody's guess because media inquiries went unanswered.
As Headline Surfer reported exclusively, lightning from a fast-moving thunderstorm rolling through the city, struck a substation transmission line and knocked out power for customers in parts of the city.
David Lawrence Walker, age 89, of Edgewater, died Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Bert Fish Medical Center, New Smyrna Beach. No service is planned at this time.
