DELAND -- Kyle Sikora only averaged 1.5 points and 1.8 rebounds per game for Michigan's Oakland University, but Stetson University men's basketball coach Casey Alexander likes his size. Sikora is a 7-footer who weighs 240 pounds.
“We’re really excited that Kyle chose Stetson,” Alexander said. “His size and skill level is perfect for our offensive system and his presence in the paint will mean a lot for the future of this program.”
For the second time in as many days, the Stetson Hatters got solid starting pitching from starter Lindsey Cauhel (5-2) and just enough offensive production Saturday to defeat visiting Lipscomb Bison at Melching Field in DeLand.
DELAND -- Stetson pitcher Lindsey Caughel faced the minimum through five innings as the Hatters took a 4-2 victory from the Bison at home earlier today.
Caughel allowed just one earned run in 6.2 innings of work with one walk and seven strikeouts. The victory moved Stetson (25-13 overall, 8-6 in the Atlantic Sun Conference) past Lipscomb (17-22, 9-8) into fourth place in the league race. In order to hold that spot, the Hatters will have to complete the series sweep on Sunday. The final game of the weekend is set for an 11 a.m. start.
Dr. Chetan Patel, spine surgeon at the Spine Center at Florida Hospital Altamonte, treats patients with strained backs and pain all the time. In fact, 80 percent of the population has back problems at some point intheir lives. Dwight Howard is one of them.The hospital notes that Dr. Patel is not the medical expert involved in the Orlando Magic center's treatment.
